Cookie Notice

Last updated: May 4, 2026

This Cookie Notice explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on hydralab.gr. Read alongside our Privacy Policy.

Short version

We do not use any cookies for advertising, marketing, or cross-site tracking. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any similar tools. Because we do not set non-essential cookies on your device, we do not display a cookie consent banner.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage in your browser. Together, these allow websites to remember information between visits or pages.

What we store on your device

1. Strictly necessary (no consent required)

These items are essential for the Site to work and are exempt from the consent requirement under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive.

Vercel infrastructure cookies (e.g. __vercel_proxy_cache_id)CookieVercel (our hosting provider)Routing requests to the correct server, basic security/DDoS protectionSession or short-lived

2. Functional (no consent required — set only after your action)

hydralab.localeLocal storageHydralabRemembers whether you chose English or Greek as your languageUntil you clear browser storage

This is set only after you click the language switcher. It is not set on your first visit.

3. Analytics (cookieless, no consent required under current Greek/EU guidance)

We use Vercel Analytics to measure aggregate traffic and Site performance. Vercel Analytics:

  • Does not use cookies
  • Uses anonymized hashed identifiers stored in your browser's session storage (cleared when you close the tab)
  • Does not collect personal data or identifiable IP addresses
  • Does not track you across other websites
  • Aggregates data so individual visitors cannot be identified

Because no personal data or cross-site identifier is processed, no consent is required under current ePrivacy and GDPR interpretation. We mention it here for full transparency.

What we don't do

For clarity, we want you to know what we do not use:

  • ❌ No Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics with cookies
  • ❌ No Google Ads, Meta/Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or other ad networks
  • ❌ No cross-site tracking
  • ❌ No fingerprinting
  • ❌ No session recording (Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, etc.)
  • ❌ No social media plugins that load scripts (our Instagram and Facebook icons are simple text links)
  • ❌ No A/B testing or personalization tools
  • ❌ No third-party fonts loaded from external servers (fonts are self-hosted via Next.js)

Managing cookies in your browser

Even though we do not use non-essential cookies, you can always control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you:

  • See which cookies are stored
  • Delete specific or all cookies
  • Block all cookies (note: this may affect how some websites work)
  • Block third-party cookies only

Common browser instructions:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Changes to this Notice

If we ever introduce new cookies or tracking tools (for example, if we add Google Analytics in the future), we will:

  1. Update this Cookie Notice
  2. Implement a proper cookie consent banner that complies with GDPR and ePrivacy
  3. Block non-essential cookies until you give consent
